Knowledge Transfer Partnerships
A Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) is a way for industry to access and bring in-house our academic expertise.
This could help you to develop and assure your technologies related to robotics and autonomous systems (RAS) in order to bring them safely to market.
A KTP is a partnership between:
- you – a UK-based business or not-for-profit organisation
- us – an academic research organisation with strong expertise in the assurance of safety critical systems and RAS
- an associate – a graduate employed by us with the capability to lead our collaborative project
A KTP is part-funded by a grant from Innovate UK. You will need to contribute to the salary of the associate and the cost of a supervisor who will oversee the project. Projects can last between one and three years.
Contact Knowledge Transfer Manager Dr Rukmal Abeysekera (rukmal.abeysekera@york.ac.uk) to discuss how we could work together on a KTP.
