Career

I spent my early career as an academic in the UK and EU, including as a Marie Curie Fellow in Germany. I also spent time in industry initially as a software developer in Brussels, more recently working with a US based AI and Cognitive Computing start-up, and as a consultant.

I worked in the government for 10 years, providing science advice in a number of Departments on a range of issues including as Chief Scientist in the UK Department for Transport.
