Postgraduate programmes by practice
A postgraduate programme by practice is one where the postgraduate researcher (PGR) generates knowledge as a practitioner within their field (where the practice is itself not normally considered research).
These webpages offer a detailed range of guidance for the standards, delivery and process of completing a programme by practice for both postgraduate researchers and their assessing departments.
Navigate your way through the different sections using the links below, or access a copy of this guide as a Google doc(you will need to be logged into your University of York Google account).

- EdD (Doctor of Education),
- and DBA (Doctor of Business Administration).
York does not offer any professional doctorates at present.
