Welcome from the Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research
Opening the event, Professor Matthias Ruth will provide you with an introduction to studying for a research degree at the University of York.

Getting started with your research degree
We will hear advice from current postgraduate researchers to help you get started and make the most of your time at York. This will include practical advice on how to plan ahead, navigate potential challenges and connect with others across the YGRS and wider University community.

Introducing YGRS and the support available for you
A short practical overview of areas of support and where to access further information.

Refreshments and mingle
Enjoy refreshments, learn more about support available and take the opportunity to chat to one another in a welcoming space. We hope to see you there!
