INNOVATION CAFÉ is a new type of workshop tailor-made for industrialists to provide them with the most up to date research from social science and an opportunity to secure information on the social, political, economic and cultural factors affecting scientific research and technological innovation today.

Our first workshop will focus on innovation and policy regulation of stem cell science which have crucial implications for a firm’s business model and future investment. Presentations will be given by Professor Andrew Webster, University of York and from Dr Paul Martin of the University of Nottingham. These presentations will be followed by lunch and then in depth round-table discussions covering the implications of policy and public debate and draw comparisons with global markets for regenerative medicine.

Attendance is FREE, but by invitation only. Places are limited to keep the group small. If you wish to attend then please contact Stephanie Hazel-Gant.

The York Innovation Centre is located on the Science Park, near to the University of York. Directions can be found on their Contacts page.
