Dr Sofia Vasilopoulou, specialist on EU politics at the University of York, highlights the low profile given to the issue of Britain's membership of the European Union in the recently published manifesto of the Green Party. Writing in a piece for The Conversation, Sofia writes: 'This is a sign that, firstly, the party does not consider the issue as particularly important, and secondly, that it sees Europe mostly as an issue of foreign policy – external to the domestic politics agenda – unlike anti-EU parties such as UKIP.'
