The deadline for students seeking funding from the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) or the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) is fast approaching.
The White Rose College of the Arts & Humanities (WRoCAH), a Doctoral Training Partnership of the Universities of Leeds, Sheffield and York, is the body responsible for the distribution of AHRC-funded studentships for these universities and for the coordination of a doctoral training programme. From 2014 WRoCAH is able to offer over 50 AHRC studentships per year to candidates with a place for doctoral study at the Universities of Leeds, Sheffield or York.
The University of York is also part of the White Rose ESRC Doctoral Training Centre (WR DTC), a major collaboration between the same three universities. With a total of 48 ESRC studentships per year over 5 years across these institutions, the WR DTC is one of the largest consortia in the country.
