This York Festival of Ideas focus day is organised in conjunction with the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, and will feature an opening address followed by a series of stimulating debates looking at how to create fair and inclusive economic growth. Discussion will focus on issues such as the rise of the city state, the future of banking, the increasing prominence of emerging markets, the risks posed by voter apathy, and Britain's role within the Eurozone.
