Join us for a reception and guest lecture from Dr Rizal Sukma, the Indonesian Ambassador to the UK. The reception will be at 5.30pm, the lecture will begin at 6pm and will be introduced by our Vice-Chancellor Professor Koen Lamberts.
Dr Sukma is a leading analyst of security and international relations in the Asia Pacific, and was formerly an advisor both to the current Indonesian President and the Director of the Centre of Security and International Studies in Jakarta. His PhD was in IR from the LSE.
The reception will include home-made Indonesian snacks, prepared by the Indonesian Society of York, as well as a Sumatran dance performance by some of our own Politics PhD students.
