Development Banking in the 21st Century: New Institutions, Old Paradigms and the Future of the Liberal Economic Order
My Research focuses on the changing role of Multilateral Development Banks within the liberal economic order. In particular, I am exploring how emerging powers have interacted with these institutions, and how changes in both the economic and geopolitical context have manifested within them, especially in the wake of the financial crisis. I also have an increasing interest in the role that social and environmental concerns play within these institutions and their interactions with other aspects of bank operations.
