'Motives, work experiences and social ties of migrant professionals in the UK: a Taiwanese case'.
The UK immigration points-based system launched in 2008 and its labour market characteristics have selected and attracted many international highly skilled workers. There is an increasing number of migrant professionals coming to the UK from outside the EU, while less attention has been received in existing migration literature. The study of migration is interdisciplinary. My research is based on economic discourses and is integrated social, cultural, and anthropological perspectives to provide a deeper understanding of the dynamics of migration experiences of migrant professionals.
