Interactions of Global Activism and Production: Determining Stakeholder Outcomes
My research brings together Global Production Networks and Social Movements to study their interactions within the supply networks of Ivory Coast Cocoa and Chinese Cotton. I seek to understand the barriers and avenues of influence that social movements may have towards global production to benefit vulnerable stakeholders such as victims of forced labour. I also aim to determine how firms in supply chains can balance the risks of taking up global citizenship strategies while carrying out value capture strategies.
