I hope you are all keeping well and look forward to seeing you around campus as term gets into full swing, the nights draw in and (unfortunately) the rain starts. As always for those looking for a warm drink and a cup of tea/coffee alongside some relaxed chat about all things political, the Department Coffee Morning will be on Wednesday from 9:30am to 11:00am in Politics Reception.

Leave no-one behind, push no-one behind and don’t get left behind: Taking stock of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals

Tuesday 18th October 2:00pm-3:30pm, Online

The Interdisciplinary Global Development centre is hosting a panel discussion with leading scholars, activists and politicians from across the globe to discuss the United Nations Sustainable Development goals and the need for cross/inter-displinary enquiery and multi-agency/secotral collaborations. If ever there was a time when the idiom “we cannot go it alone” held true, it is now! You can find more information and book tickets on the university website

Roundtable on Gender and Migration

York’s Centre for Women’s Studies (CWS) is delighted to invite you to the launch event of its new Women’s Studies Now! seminar series. It kicks off with a round table on gender and migration with Dr Sara de Jong (Politics), Haleemah Alaydi (English and Related Studies), Dr Joy Ogbemudia (Leeds Business School) and Daria Lynch (Archaeology and History) chaired by Dr Rachel Alsop (Director of the Centre for Womens Studies)
