About the Event:

Q&A with the Director, Co-director and protagonist of the documentary film, Lupita, which is currently being shown as part of the Sheffield Documentary Festival. The event starts with an introduction by the organisers, alloted time for attendees to ‘collectively’ watch the film (21mins running time, £3) followed by a commentary and Q&A with Monica Wise Robles, Eduardo Gutiérrez Pérez and Lupita herself. Attendees are encouraged to submit their questions for the panellists using the chat function on Zoom throughout the event. 

About the Fim:

In a country where indigenous people are increasingly displaced, their land stolen, where students disappear without trace following police arrest, and journalists are murdered at an alarming rate, a courageous new voice emerges: Lupita, a Tsostil Maya massacre survivor, at the forefront of a new movement of indigenous women.
