The role of the European Union in the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision

Professor Lucia Quaglia was invited to write a scientific paper for the ECON Committee of the European Parliament

Professor Lucia Quaglia (University of York and FNR Mobility in Fellow) was invited to write a scientific paper for the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs (ECON Committee) of the European Parliament on the role of the EU in the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision. The scientific paper was commissioned as part of the activities that will feed into the own initiative report of the Committee on the role of the European Union in International Economic Fora, such as the Basel committee, the Financial Stability Board, the G 20. Professor Quaglia presented her conclusions and recommendations, together with eight other European experts on other international financial fora, at a webstreamed workshop (http://www.europarl.europa.eu/committees/en/econ/events-workshops.html) which took place at the European Parliament on June 17th, 2015.
