The York Policy Engine (TYPE) will be hosting a Policy Masterclass, led by the Open Innovation Team (OIT).

During this interactive session, experienced government policy advisors will provide an insider’s view of how government works, offering realistic advice on the most effective ways of contributing to policy. The session will outline the policy making process, cover a range of useful concepts, help participants develop their influencing skills, and introduce some of the practical strategies that will assist participants in building relationships with policy-makers.

Focusing specifically on how to increase effective research-based engagement with the policy community, and generate policy impact, the session is suitable for academics at all career stages, as well as knowledge brokers and senior leaders.

There will be interactive Q&A throughout the session.

The session is open to all staff and PhD students at the University of York. The masterclass will be held in-person only, in Church Lane Building (SBS), Room 028
