Cost of Living Summit

On the 31 October in the Guildhall, York City Council brought together community and city partners to discuss how to better support residents of York who are being affected by the rising costs of living.

The University of York, York St John, Joseph Rowntree Foundation and York Centre for Voluntary Service (CVS) came together with public and private sector representatives. Professor Kate Pickett chaired this positive, action oriented summit, which focused on matching offers of help to those in need by planning follow-on sessions for issues needing further consideration.
