due to high power density, large plasma-potential oscillations, Magneticfields, complex and aggressive chemistries, and time variation both within the rf-cycle and with pulsing. I will report on developments of the Hairpin-Probe Absolute-Electron-Density technique to address these challenges. This technique has elucidated both basic plasma source operational physics, and negative ion chemistry.
