This project involves the development and implementation of new modelling techniques for transmission line matrix (TLM) and Finite-Difference Time-Domain (FDTD) method of numerical electromagnetic modelling. They discretises space and simulates the propagation of electromagnetic waves through the 3-D space. Interaction with materials (buildings, enclosures, wires, etc.) are included and such codes are used to predict how electromagnetic interference may couple to electronic systems.
We also have developed our own unstructured mesher. Both the mesher and our FDTD solver are available as open source software (links below).
