Marina Petri is an experimental Nuclear Physicist with a particular research focus on the structure of exotic nuclei. Marina is performing cutting-edge experiments at leading international accelerator laboratories to advance our understanding of the nuclear force. She is also developing the next generation of detectors, tools, and techniques. Her experimental programme addresses overarching questions in Nuclear Science, like "What is the nature of the nuclear force?", "Can we understand nuclei based on the underlying fundamental interactions?", "What is the role of 3-body forces?", and "How do nucleon-nucleon correlations deplete the single-particle strength in atomic nuclei?".
