Biography

I undertook my BA at Leeds Metropolitan University before moving to the University of Sussex to do my MA. A PhD at Durham followed before I came to York to become a lecturer in the Department of Philosophy.

Research

Overview

My research interests are in Post-Kantian practical philosophy (especially that of Erhard, Fichte and Hegel), Rousseau’s moral psychology and political philosophy, and Contemporary Critical Theory.

Projects

I am currently translating (with Michael Nance) J. B. Erhard's writings on revolution for Oxford University Press.
"J. B. Erhard on Natural, Law, Recognition, and the Right to Revolution" (a paper on Erhard's defence of the legitimacy of revolution)
