Biography
I joined the Philosophy Department at York in September 2023, as a British Academy Postdoctoral Fellow. Before that, I was a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Hamburg, a Postdoctoral Researcher in Political Theory at LUISS Guido Carli (Rome), and a Teaching Associate in Political Theory at MANCEPT, the University of Manchester.
I received my PhD in Political Theory from the University of Manchester in November 2019. I also hold an MA in Political Theory from the University of Manchester, and an MA in Philosophy from the University of Genoa.
Research
Overview
My main areas of research are in contemporary moral and political philosophy, with a particular focus on theories of moral status and basic equality, and theories of relational equality and distributive justice. I am the co-editor of How Can We Be Equals? (OUP 2024), and have published in journals such as Philosophical Studies, Canadian Journal of Philosophy, and Ethical Theory and Moral Practice, among others.
