I joined the Department of Philosophy at the University of York in 2007, where I worked first as a Lecturer, later as a Senior Lecturer for the next eleven and a half years (2007 to 2019). Before that, I had been a Supernumerary Teaching Fellow at St John’s College Oxford (2004-2007). I hold an MA (1998) from the University of Munich, and a BPhil (2000) and DPhil (2004) from the University of Oxford. In April 2019 I moved to the University of Konstanz (in Germany), where I now work as a Professor of Theoretical Philosophy. I am delighted to retain a link with the Department of Philosophy at York as one of its honorary members.
