I completed my undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in London (at University College London) and spent a year teaching at Merton College, Oxford, before coming to York in 2012. Most of my teaching is in the area of moral philosophy.
I have published articles on religious fictionalism, on Kant’s philosophy of religion, and on moral philosophy.
I am continuing to write about fictionalism and the ‘ought implies can’ principle (and related principles) in ethics. I am also working on issues such as our moral responsibility for the consequences of our actions, the morality of permissions, and Kant’s ethics.
