Please read the guidance about the process for choosing option modules in the Philosophy Department.
Students wishing to take an elective module should first check the rules of their degree programme to see if they are allowed to take electives in other departments. The University of York offers Language Electives (YLEs), Interdisciplinary modules (YIMs) and general elective modules.
The university's web pages has full information about Electives and the application process.
The deadline for requesting module changes for Semester 2, 2024/5 was 16:00 hours on Friday 21 February 2025. Unfortunately, students cannot change S2 modules after this deadline.
