Absence and illness

In case of absence and illness during your studies please refer to the University's web pages on Self certification of illness.  

You should notify your supervisor and module tutor if you are ill and unable to attend a lecture or seminar, and refer to the procedures above regarding self-certification of illness.

You can self-certify your illnesses for a maximum of ten days in any given academic year with a maximum of seven days for any one period of illness. If you exceed either of these numbers, obtain a medical certificate from your GP as quickly as possible. It can be difficult to do so later.
