The Department of Philosophy has placed 7th in the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2025 for the subject of Philosophy. The ranking recognises the quality of our courses, and the experiences and opportunities they provide to our students.
Our Head of Department Professor Keith Allen said: “We are delighted by this result, which reflects our care and commitment towards our students and their experiences, and the successes that they achieve through studying philosophy with us”.
The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide is published annually to help students choose a university course. It ranks UK universities by undergraduate degree subjects in metrics such as student satisfaction, continuation, spend per student and graduate outcomes.
