The Office for Students notes that 84% of the 330,000 UK student respondents to the survey were satisfied with the quality of their course – a rise from 83% in 2018.

Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor Saul Tendler, said: “York’s aim is to be strong in every aspect of the National Student Survey.

“Our student experience is at the heart of everything that we do, and this result reflects the dedication of our staff, support services and facilities, and our students who will carry their learning into successful careers in the future.”

The NSS, commissioned by the Office for Students, is designed to gather information from undergraduates on a range of aspects related to their experience at university. The results are used by the University and Students' Union to support further improvements in teaching and learning.
