Dr Taylor has a PhD in health outcomes research and an MSc in Health Economics from the University of York. He has worked for YHEC since 2003 and is its lead for health technology assessment and economic evaluations of pharmaceutical technologies. Dr Taylor also teaches on the University’s Distance Learning course, and leads a number of health economics training courses at YHEC. He is a member of the NICE Programme Development Group for public health.
Professor Trevor Sheldon, Chair of YHEC’s Board of Directors said: “Matthew has worked at YHEC for over ten years and has been highly successful in developing the health technology assessment and pharmacoeconomic work stream within the company. He has experience of health economics consultancy for both the public and private sectors, having worked with the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence and with the manufacturing side of the industry over the last decade.”
