Richard Bellia’s keenly observed photographs, which have captured rock ’n ’roll stars off-stage since the 1980s, will be open to the public from 10 to 20 May. A special preview on Monday 9 May will follow a lecture by Richard Bellia and Mark Long, a History of Art student at the University of York.

The exhibition, which is supported by Montey’s Rock Cafe in York, is curated by Samia Calbayrac, Director of The Norman Rea Gallery.

She said: “Un Oeil sur la Musique is a collection of vivid snapshots which shows both Richard Bellia’s passion for his subject matter, as well as an occasional wry, satirical eye for the minor absurdities of the rock world.”

The special exhibition preview will take place on Monday, 9 May at 7.30pm and follows a lecture in room L/N/002, Langwith College, on the University’s Heslington West campus at 5.30pm. The event is free and open to all. Email info@thenormanreagallery.com to reserve a place.
