The 14 Chinese delegates from Jilin Forest Industry Group were on a bespoke marketing programme prepared by the University’s Corporate Training Unit. The delegates were a mixture of general managers, vice presidents and marketing managers from the various Jilin subsidiaries.
They met managers and toured facilities at Portakabin as part of the five-day continuing professional development workshop.
The workshop was organised after University of York alumnus, Xin Zhang, who now works for Jilin, approached Amanda Selvaratnam, Head of the University's Corporate Training Unit for help.
She said: "The University of York is delighted to host the high profile delegation from Jilin Forest Industry Group. This is another example of the international business relevance of York's CPD courses."
