The 21st Century China UK Entrepreneurship Competition will see 32 teams compete to produce the best idea for a venture that promotes business ties between the two countries.
The University of York has many students from China, and we are looking forward to holding our second graduation ceremony in Beijing next year

Lirong Zhang, Minister Counsellor at the Chinese Embassy, and the Lord Mayor of York will be among the guests at the launch on 30 October.
The competition is organised by the York Management School at the University of York, University College London and the China Innovation and Development Association UK.
Dr Chris Henshall, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for External Relations at the University of York, said: “Our support for this competition is just one element of our strong commitment to fostering enterprise amongst our students and staff and promoting links with China.
“We have formal partnerships with Nanjing, Peking and Zhejiang Universities. These support wide range of teaching and research collaborations, including a number of initiatives to promote student enterprise with Nanjing and Zhejiang – both of which are fellow members with York of the Worldwide University Network.
“The University of York has many students from China, and we are looking forward to holding our second graduation ceremony in Beijing next year."
The competition will be split into two strands, one for existing businesses and one for students.
In addition to the main prize for winning the grand final, the competing teams have the opportunity to win a share of more than £9,000 in prize money in earlier rounds.
