The fairs, on 21 October, 28 October and 4 November, focus on finance, law and science and technology respectively. Designed to give employers an opportunity to meet and talk to University of York students, the fairs have attracted a range of well known names, despite the financial crisis.
A commitment to graduate recruitment is a sign that employers are looking to the long term future of their organisations

Organisations such as IBM, the NHS and Unilever have committed to the events, along with the big four accountancy companies – PricewaterhouseCoopers, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, Ernst & Young and KPMG – and a range of international law firms.
The Director of the University Careers Service, Dr Robert Partridge, said: "We have been very pleased with the numbers of employer organisations actively seeking to recruit University of York students. Interest has been so great that we have had to erect a special marquee to accommodate all those employers wishing to attend."
The financial turmoil of the last few months has had no significant impact on the preparations for the Careers Fairs, which will be held in Goodricke College.
"A commitment to graduate recruitment is a sign that employers are looking to the long term future of their organisations," Dr Partridge added.
