As Chief Nursing Officer and Director of Nursing since 1992, Yvonne Moores leads Britain's nurses, midwives and health visitors. She works with ministers, civil servants and senior professional colleagues to ensure that nurses and nursing are represented in the national policy-making arena.
The York Health Symposia offer an opportunity to all those working in the NHS to listen to and question directly the leaders of the NHS and those who advise at the highest levels of health policy setting. The first Symposium featured Alan Langlands, Chief Executive of the NHS, and Professor Tony Culyer, author of the Culyer Report on Research and Development in the NHS.
