Ivan Nixon

Ivan is the creator of Team Gray Matter. An independent team of bio-medical engineers, neuroscientists and psychology specialists, who along with Ivan and his friend Peter Gray, are competing in a Brain Computer Interface race at Cybathlon 2016, the first ever championships for paralysed athletes utilising robotic technologies. Peter had an accident in 2008 and has been paralysed from the neck down ever since. Ivan and the team are developing a BCI device that will allow Peter to control an avatar within a game by sending a set of commands through a computer using only his thoughts.  Beyond this the team are working on other applications for BCI technology.
