Hayley Clissold

Hayley completed her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at the University of Warwick before commencing her PhD in the Department of Biology at the University of York. Her research focuses on intracellular pathogens and, more specifically, how they are able to survive within the host cells they infect. In addition to research, Hayley is also passionate about scientific outreach. She was involved in organising the popular Zombies in York event (as part of York Festival of Ideas) and was also recently voted the winner of I’m A Scientist, Get Me Out Of Here.
