"I am an environmental chemist with particular expertise in fate and behaviour of organic and emerging contaminants in the environment. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Science in 2003 from University of Cadiz (Spain). Afterwards, I awarded a PhD fellowship to undertake my research into the fate and distribution of organic and emerging pollutants in aquifers. I was then awarded with a Postdoc Fellowship (2010-2012) to undertake my research about fate of pharmaceuticals in aquatic plants in Food and Environment Research Agency (FERA) at York. Currently, I am working in the Environment Department at the University of York, after be awarded with my second postdoc, a Marie Curie Fellowship, to study the uptake and effect of pharmaceutical contaminants on crops."
