Teresa Roncal-Herrero completed her PhD in France in 2009. She joined the University of York in 2013 and is currently working as a postdoctoral researcher in the Physics Department. Her current research interests include mineral-water interactions: such as looking at how minerals form in situ in liquid environments. She is also studying minerals at nanoscale to uncover the physics underlying global process. As a geologist she is fascinated by minerals participating in our day to day life, such as the minerals forming the bones in our skeletons.
