Dr Phillip Cox is a member of the Centre for Anatomical and Human Sciences, a group within the Department of Archaeology and the Hull York Medical School. It brings together research and teaching in anatomy, functional morphology and biomechanics. Phillip's research is focused on the ecological, evolutionary, functional and developmental bases of morphological variation in humans, primates, other mammals and vertebrates. He has a particular interest in the evolutionary history of humans and how the human skull came to be like it is today.
