Laziana Ahmad

Laziana’s research is centred on the non-enzymatic activity of a protein known in plant detoxification. She is interested in the binding of the protein with molecules that, when at high concentration, become harmful and toxic to plants. To understand this, she studies the 3D structure of the protein in complex with the identified toxic molecules and analyse the important binding site. At YorNight 2015, she will share information regarding protein 3D structure in terms of the basic building block and the significance of it in protein research!
