Jed Meers studied graduated with a Law (LLB) degree from the University of York in 2012, before going onto study a MRes in Social Policy Research. He is a PhD researcher at York Law School, looking at welfare reform and housing law, including an empirical study on the so-called ‘bedroom tax.’
“My interest in housing came from a stint working at South Derbyshire District Council and then at Yorkshire Housing Association, and I have been lucky enough to follow it through in the course of my degree and now examine some of the problems in the way the law treats home interests in my Phd.”
