Event details

Come and explore and reconstruct archaeological sites using the creative video game Minecraft! Archaeologists at the University of York are reconstructing Star Carr in Minecraft. They are also virtually replicating the archaeological dig, available online. With virtual reconstructions we can test ideas about ancient landscapes, different interpretations of building techniques, and how people lived in the past. We welcome expert builders, but no knowledge of archaeology or Minecraft required.
