Would you like to know what happens when astronauts spend a long time in space? Would knowing more about spaceflight make you more interested in science subjects?
Later this year, the astronaut Tim Peake will become the first Briton to visit the International Space Station on behalf of the European Space Agency. Science Education researchers at University of York are working with leading space scientist and the BBC’s The Sky at Night presenter Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock to investigate if Tim Peake’s mission inspires young people to take science subjects. Come along to our session to find out what we have learned so far. Try out some activities to find out more about spaceflight and take our quiz to find out how interested you are in science and spaceflight!
