Sarah West studied Geography at St Peter’s College, Oxford.
“After my degree I realised that I knew a very small amount about lots of different things, and decided I wanted to learn more about nature. I enrolled part-time on a Biodiversity and Conservation MSc at the University of Leeds, funded by a boring administration job, and to keep my sanity started volunteering once a week with TCV (Conservation Volunteers) in York, doing environmental education."
"I loved inspiring people about nature and couldn’t believe it when in 2008 the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) wanted to employ me on the OPAL project to do just that! Since then I have continued to work at SEI on this project, and others, involving engaging people with nature and environmental issues.”
