Dr Neil Audsley is an invertebrate physiologist in the Invertebrate Pest Management Team with 25 years of experience and over 75 peer reviewed publications. He currently works on novel targets and modes of action for pesticides based on disruption of insect physiology and behaviour and the hormones involved in their regulation.
“I’m currently responsible for a Defra R&D project investigating novel pesticides targeting hormone receptors from aphids, beetles and flies. I’m also the project coordinator for European funded projects Palm Protect and DROPSA which are investigating strategies for the management of invasive pests of palm trees and soft and stone fruits respectively.”
