Giulia Paggiola

Giulia Paggiola is the founder of GreenSTEMS and a PhD student at the Green Chemistry Centre of Excellence with a strong drive for promoting sustainable development in industry and society.

“In my research I collaborate with the Stockholm Environment Institute at York and with European pharmaceutical corporations urging the adoption of renewable and safer solvents in the production of medicines. At YorNight I will present how oils extracted from waste orange-peels can replace petrochemicals in a number of industrial and daily-life applications.”
