Dr Adam Nicols has spent the past four years doing a PhD in experimental Nuclear Physics at the University of York, and will soon begin work in the nuclear industry.
“I have been interested in Physics ever since my father bought me a telescope when I was a child. Whilst studying Physics at undergraduate level in York, I gained a key interest in Nuclear Physics and the issues and challenges of nuclear power. Doing my PhD has been great fun and allowed me to learn new skills and meet new people, preparing me for a fast-paced and technical career.”
