Kate Giles is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Archaeology at the University of York and Deputy Director of the Humanities Research Centre.
“I’m particularly interested in the archaeology of historic buildings and I use interdisciplinary approaches to understand the construction, use and meaning of buildings in the past. I’m also passionate about using historic buildings and sites in the present, and understanding how research can inform the understanding, conservation, management and interpretation of the built environment in modern society.”
