Richard Morley works in the Department of Health Sciences at the University of York where his recent work with the James Lind Alliance Pressure Ulcer Priority Setting Partnership (JLAPUP) brought patients, carers and health professionals together to identify and prioritise uncertainties in pressure ulcer prevention and treatment.
“I established the innovative East Midlands School for Social Entrepreneurs and a network of Independent Equalities Advisory Groups in Nottinghamshire. I have witnessed at first hand the way decisions are made about communities without their involvement, and have developed an interest in how this could be changed. These are important issues in health research too and I have been lucky to develop my interest in ways of putting people with the greatest stake in health research at the heart of decision-making."
