Gary Lewis is a lecturer in the Department of Psychology at the University of York. Previously, he was a lecturer at the University of Stirling, and before that a Sage Junior Fellow at the Sage Centre for the Study of the Mind, at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He completed his PhD in social behavior genetics in 2011 at the University of Edinburgh.
“My research broadly addresses issues concerning human personality and well-being, social perception, and social/political attitudes. I use a variety of methods, including behavioural genetics, psychophysiology, and brain imaging, to explore these topics.
“My talk will explore research we have recently completed on the genetic and environmental influences on behavioural problems (for example, conduct, hyperactivity, anxiety) across childhood and adolescence.”
